ΠΕΡΙΟΧΕΣ ΟΡΓΑΝΩΣΗΣ ΠΥΡΗΝΙΣΚΟΥ (NORs) ΣΕ ΒΙΟΨΙΕΣ ΗΠΑΤΟΣ

Περιοχές οργάνωσης πυρηνίσκου, γνωστές διεθνώς σαν NORs (Nucleolar Organizer Regions), αποκαλύφθηκαν σε βιοψίες ήπατος χάρη σε μια νέα αργυροφιλική (Ag) χρώση. Η τεχνική, που εφαρμόζεται σε τομές παραφίνης, εντοπίζει NORs στους πυρήνες των κυττάρων σαν έντονα μελανές κουκκίδες (AgNORs): ο αριθμός τους φαίνεται να αντικατοπτρίζει το ρυθμό της κυτταρικής δραστηριότητας. Στο υλικό μας (5 βιοψίες φυσιολογικής υφής, 10 τυπικές κιρρώσεις, 20 πρωτοπαθή ηπατοκυτταρικά καρκινώματα), ο μέσος αριθμός AgNORs ανά πυρήνα κυττάρου βρέθηκε να αυξάνει από το φυσιολογικό (1.52) στο κιρρωτικό (2.82) και στο νεοπλασματικό (7.36) ήπαρ. Οι διαφορές ήταν σημαντικές στατιστικά. Επί πλέον, τα AgNORs ήταν ενσωματωμένα στους πυρηνίσκους στα φυσιολογικά και καλοήθη κύτταρα, σε αντίθεση με τα νεοπλασματικά που είχαν την τάση να είναι διασκορπισμένα άναρχα σε ολόκληρο το πυρηνόπλασμα. Συμπεραίνεται ότι η ποσοτική και ποιοτική ανάλυση των AgNORs σε μικρές βιοψίες ήπατος μπορεί να αποβεί διαγνωστικά χρήσιμη, ιδιαίτερα σε οριακές καταστάσεις.Αναφορές
