Abstract

Ιn nine patients with myocardial infarction the levels of TCH, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, ApoA-1, ApoB and the ratio TCH/HDL-C and ApoB/ApoA-1 were estimated during the first four days. Compared to the levels on admission of TCH ond TG it was observed that a) the mean % changes in TCH were increased in patients with TCH<200 mg/100 ml and slightly decreased in patients with TCH>200 mg/100ml, b) the mean % changes in TG were increased in patients with normal TG and decreased in hypertriglyceridemic patients and c) the mean % changes in ratio TCH/HDL-C were unchanged in patients with normal admission lipid levels. Ιt is concluded that the estimation of lipoprotein profit in patients with myocordial infarction is depended on the time of the onset of the symptoms ond on the admission levels of the lipids.
