ENDOSCOPY ΙΝ ΤΗΕ REMAINED CAVITY OF ΤΗΕ LIVER HYPATIC CYST

Abstract

During the last 5 years 72 patients operated for liver hypatic cyst. In 42 cases a tube drainage was placed in the cavity and in 30 cases there was no tube drainage. 25 out of 42 patients had a good cavity filling during the next 4 months from the operation. Ιn the rest 17 patients endoscopy although the fistula after the removal of the tube was performed in 4 cases silk-sticvhes were found and removed while in other 3 cases echinococcal membranes were found and removed . Ιn conclusion endoscopy of the remained cavity is a usefull diagnostic technique.
