CHOLECYSTECTOMY ΙΝ INFANTS AND CHILDREN
Abstract
This is a retrospective study concerning 18 cholecystectomies done during the two years (1986-87). All the operations which were done in the Dept were 2336 so cholecystectomies were 0.77% of all operations. There were no postoperative complications. Cholecystectomy is a rather rare operation in childhood and most times is compinated with splenectomy in the same time due to hemolytic aneamias or congenital abnormalities of the biliary tree.References
