Abstract

Ιt is described a technique for decompressing the biliary truct obstructed by tumours located in the upper part of the bile duct. lt involves draining of the intrahepatic bile ducts through the gallbladder to a loop of the jejunum. A jejuno-jejunostomy completes the operation so only twο simple anastomoses are involved that secure the drain of the bile. This technique was performed in three patients. The first one was alive 14 months after the operation, the second was in good condition at the three months follow up and the third patient died at the eight postoperative day by multiple organ failure while the jaundice as descending.
