COMPLICATIONS ΙΝ PLANTING OF PACEMAKER
Abstract
Permanent pacemakers were implanted in 79 patients, during the period 1985-1989 of these, 78 were first implantations and one was replacement. 64,5% of the pacemakers were simple and 35,5% were programized. The main indications were the sick sinus syndrome (51,9%) and the A-V conduction disturbances (37,97%). Other indications were hemiblocks (5,06%) sinus arrest vagothonil (2,53%) and bradyarrythimia (1,26%). The implantantion were made through the right (86,1%) and the left (1,26%) brachialecephalica and the subclavia (11,4%) veίn. Complications were observed in 2,52%: one case with electrode displacement and one case with lymph edema.References
