SPOTANEOUS INTERNAL BILIARY FISTULAS: MANAGEMENT OF 11 CASES
Abstract
Ιn this study we refer to 11 cases of spontaneous intraabdominal biliary fistulas which were managed surgically in our department during the years 1980-1989. Extensive review of current literature is undergone with particular emphasis on the incidence, age, or sex dixtrubution and the typing or fistulas. In addition the aetiopathologenicity, the clinical presentation as well as the preoperative management are encountered. Ιn our material regardless of the preoperative evaluation diagnosis was made or confirmed intraoperatively. Enemtually thorough reference is considered over the specific operations engaged for the various types of cholepeptic communications, on which our personal experience is provided.References
