ANTIGLIADIN (AGA), ANTIRETICULIN (R1-ARA) AND ANTIENDOMYSIAL (ΕΜΑ) ANTIBODIES ΙΝ COELIAC DISEASE
Abstract
Antibodies against reticulin (R1-ARA), gliadin (AGA) and endomysial (EMA) were determined by both IFL and ELISA for R1-ARA and AGA, and IFL for EMA, in a coeliac disease patient with positive gut biopsie. Antigliadin and antireticulin antibodies were positive at 1:40, but antiendomysial antibodies were negative. The high sensitivity and specificity of the above antibodies could permit us to use them as screening test in patients with coeliac disease and their relatives before effectuating a gut biopsie.References
