EMERGENCY CHOLECYSTECTOMY ΙΝ ACUTE CHOLECYSTITIS

Abstract

During the last 5 years 1403 patients has been operated for cholocystectomy with or without common bile duct exploration. 306 of them (21,8%) had an emergency cholecystectomy. Ιn 10 out of 306 an hydrops of gallbladder. (3,26%) was found in 63 (20,58%) an acute cholecystitis, iη 24 cases there was nο stone found, iη 198 (64,7%) an empyema of the gallbladder, iη 15 (4,5%) a gangrene and iη 16 (5,22%) a rupture of the gallbladder and e bile peritonitis was found. Ιn 7 (2,28%) a cholocystoduodenal fistule.
