Abstract

Ιn the present work an effort was made to assess the potential use of adhesives in surgery. For this purpose bibliography has been extensively reviewed, a description of the adhesives is given as well as the techniques used in different fields of abdominal surgery in emergency situations. The use of adhesives carry along a variety of problems and the results depend on many factors which can substantially influence them, therefore we tried to estimate them on experimental animals, before using them in patients. With the present work we aimed to the study of the chapter of cyanoacrylate and biological adhesives, underlined the opinions of experienced researchers in this field, compared them with
