Τα εκκολπώματα της νήστιδας και του ειλεού (ΕΝΕ) αποτελούν μια σπάνια παθολογική οντότητα η οποία στο μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό των ασθενών είναι ασυμπτωματική. Επιπλοκές όπως απόφραξη, φλεγμονή αιμορραγία και διάτρηση που να απαιτούν χειρουργική επέμβαση εμφανίζουν σπάνια οι ασθενείς σε αντίθεση με αυτούς που πάσχουν από εκκολπώματα του παχέος εντέρου. Συνήθως είναι πολλαπλά, μεγαλύτερα και περισσότερα στην αρχή της νήστιδας, ενώ είναι μικρότερα και λιγότερα προχωρώντας περιφερικά στο λεπτό έντερο. Λόγω της σπανιότητάς τους και της άτυπης συμπτωματολογίας τους οι βλάβες αυτές και οι επιπλοκές τους είναι δύσκολο να διαγνωστούν. Στην εργασία μας αυτή επιχειρούμε να περιγράψουμε την εμπειρία μας από την ανάλυση τριών περιστατικών της κλινικής μας, καθώς γίνεται και αναφορά στην αιτιοπαθογένεια, στη συμπτωματολογία, στη διαγνωστική προσπέλαση, στις συνυπάρχουσες παθήσεις, στις επιπλοκές και στη θεραπευτική προσέγγιση.Αναφορές
