Abstract

Malignant tumours of the bile ducts are rare lesions. Seventy eight cases are discribed. Radical resection is not often possible because early diagnosis is not always feasible. Palliative treatment includes relief of the jaundice and its concomitant pruritus by performing an anastomosis or by using a tube.
