ACUTE SUPPURATIVE CHOLANGITIS

Abstract

During the last 5 years 9 patients treated as emergencies because of acute suppurative cholangitis (2 men, 7 women). Αll patients were operated, 6-8 hours from the beginning of the symptoms. Α cholecystectomy and a common bile duct drainage was done after a remoral of a stone from Oddi area. Mortality rate was 11,1% (1 patient).
