HALF AND HALF NAIL
Abstract
We report the case of a 46-years-old woman who had half and half nails. The clinical condition was characteristic, the histology and the paraclinical tests didn't reveal anything pathological. The etiology of the disease was found after hearing her medical history. The cause was considered to be the substance hydrofluoric acid, which is widely used in the semiconductor industry and can be a component of rust-removing agents. This cause was based on the patient's habits and was also confirmed by our therapeutic approach.
