Abstract

The pathology of the liver in 26 patients with Crohn's disease was studied. Changes in liver histology were noted in twenty two (84.6%) of the operative biopsies. The lobular architecture remained intact and no serious complications were present. Possible mechanisms of liver injury in Crohn's disease are discussed.
