EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY OF DISTAL RADIUS FRACTURES IN EVROS PREFECTURE
Abstract
We present a study of 155 patients, with fractures of distal radius in Evros prefecture in 1992. The population of the people above 50 years in 1991 census was 50,509 people. The annual frequency of these fractures in this age group was 1,82%. We compared ουr findings with those in other studies from Scandinavian countries. We wrote down the time of the year during which the fractures happened, the patients' social position and the cause of the injury. Also the fracture type and their treatment method.References
