A REPORT ΟΝ ΤΗΕ RADIOSENSITIZATION PRQPERTIES OF LOW-DOSE cDDP (CIS-DIAMMINE-DICHLOROPLATINUM II - CISPLATINUM) ΙΝ ΤΗΕ MANAGEMENT OF ΤΗΕ VERY ADVANCED CARCINOMA OF ΤΗΕ VULVA
Abstract
Eight patients, eligible for evaluation, with very advanced (Stage III & ΙV) poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma οf the vulva were subjected to a pilot-protocol involving sub-therapeutic levels of both radiation and cDDP concurrently. Local control as well as palliation were achieved in most cases. The radiosensitization properties of low-dose cDDP are raised in this pilot study. Entrance criteria were inoperability of post operative recurrence.References
