Οι πιθανές επιπτώσεις της πανδημίας COVID-19 στην ψυχολογία Ελλήνων αθλητών/τριών

Περίληψη

Η παρούσα έρευνα διερευνά τις ψυχολογικές επιπτώσεις που επέφερε η πανδημία COVID-19 στους αθλητές, μέσω της εκτίμησης των επιπέδων φόβου για τη νόσο COVID-19 και της συναισθηματικής ρύθμισης. Το δείγμα αποτέλεσαν 331 αθλητές και αθλήτριες. Για τη διεξαγωγή της έρευνας, χρησιμοποιήθηκαν 2 ερωτηματολόγια: (1) η ελληνική έκδοση του ερωτηματολόγιου «Ρύθμιση Συναισθημάτων» (ERQ) και (2) η ελληνική έκδοση του μονοδιάστατου ερωτηματολογίου «Φόβος COVID-19». Η στατιστική ανάλυση περιλάμβανε περιγραφική στατιστική ανάλυση, διερευνητική παραγοντική ανάλυση, έλεγχο αξιοπιστίας και έλεγχο διακύμανσης. Οι Έλληνες αθλητές/αθλήτριες του δείγματος παρουσίασαν σχετικά υψηλά επίπεδα επανεκτίμησης και μέτρια επίπεδα καταστολής. Οι άνδρες παρουσιάζουν υψηλότερα επίπεδα καταστολής από τις γυναίκες, ενώ όσο αυξάνεται η ηλικία παρατηρείται αύξηση των επιπέδων επανεκτίμησης. Όσον αφορά στα επίπεδα φόβου για τη νόσηση με COVID-19, παρατηρήθηκαν χαμηλά επίπεδα φόβου. Οι γυναίκες παρουσίασαν υψηλότερα επίπεδα φόβου από τους άνδρες, ενώ όταν αυξάνονται τα έτη αθλητικής εμπειρίας, μειώνονται τα επίπεδα φόβου. Οι Έλληνες αθλητές/τριες είχαν σχετικά υψηλά επίπεδα επανεκτίμησης, μέτρια επίπεδα καταστολής και χαμηλά επίπεδα φόβου για τη νόσο COVID-19.
